Everyone has struggles in life, whether it is anxiety, illness, dissatisfaction with a career, or a difficulty forming healthy relationships. However, with the right therapist, you can count on not going through this struggle alone. From a very young age, I knew that my purpose was to help people, and for the last fifteen years I have been working in the health field to better the lives of others. I have experience working with patients in various populations and my approach is interactive, eclectic and compassionate. I work to customize my style towards the dynamics of each individual to bring about effective results. I aim to create a warm, nonjudgmental atmosphere where my patients can explore their thoughts and emotions in a safe setting. I get actively involved with my patients, constantly offering feedback. Change takes time, but working together and regardless of where you are in life, my patients develop a deeper emotional awareness, enhanced sense of self identity and build a more successful life.
I have developed knowledge on various types of therapy and can understand the daily stresses of living in a hectic and demanding Manhattan lifestyle. I aim to help my clients develop a positive outlook and provide empathy and support for them to ultimately maintain success. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is essential to the healing process and I strive to create a trusting environment where clients feel safe to share their innermost feelings and experiences.
Instilling hope, together creating a plan and implementing action is key to a patient’s growth. Bringing positive energy to my approach, I constantly highlight my patients’ strengths in order to bring about positive change in a realistic time period. I implement various types of therapies and I have always believed that an added holistic component is extremely valuable. I have a B.S. from Georgetown University and an advanced degree from Fordham (M.S.W.) I bring positive energy to my practice and utilize a strength based person centered style to present clients to work on daily challenges. I am looking forward to working together to create a plan to bring about positive transformation in a realistic time period. Outside of seeing patients, I have a strong interest and passion in health, wellness, and fitness.
