I strongly believe in the tenacity and resiliency of the human spirit when it comes to overcoming life’s many challenges. As your therapist, it is my goal to draw out your dormant strengths while fostering and implementing a variety of coping skills that promote your wellness and quality of life. I typically use the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to facilitate a healthier mind but will adapt to meet your needs by incorporating other clinical interventions in our sessions as I believe that there are many ways to overcome an obstacle.
My education and training stems from Stony Brook University where I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work; My style is very person-centered, brimming with compassion and kindness, and driven by empathetic understanding. I deeply value creativity and how one can resolve their issues by thinking outside of the box. Some of my hobbies include cooking and dance where I can put my creative mind to good use and express myself through movement or creating a delicious meal.
The late Robin Williams once said, “I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone”. This statement has fueled my mission to make sure that you feel validated, supported, and heard while we collaboratively work towards your goals.
