Ashlee Adams, LMSW
My approach to therapy is simple. I believe it begins with an open conversation between two or more individuals. It is a collaborative process where my role as the therapist is to help facilitate the session dictated by your needs. Sharing thoughts, fears, hopes and concerns in a non-judgmental atmosphere fosters a safe and welcoming environment for personal growth. I provide counseling to individuals, couples, families, and young adults. My areas of interest include: anxiety; depression; life transitions; Postpartum Depression & Anxiety; stress management; couples counseling; family therapy; and career stress.
Self-exploration and awareness through therapy should be celebrated and not stigmatized. I received graduate education and training at the University of Pittsburgh which emphasized a collaborative process between client and therapist. My approach is solution-focused, strengths-based, and person-centered. Together, we will explore what is currently working well and uncover solutions for areas of concern. I look forward to working with you on this healing journey.
I have a passion for dancing, hosting dinner parties, speaking French, and exercising. My favorite activity in the city is wandering through Central Park!
